The mind is instinctively moving and unstable. It is because it has received inward scenes from the external world moving through the senses. In the external world, no scene is static, everything is moving, and even the visible elements do not change indirectly. When the five senses absorb these moving elements in their innermost being, then the mind becomes mobile. The movement of the mind means the emergence of emotions and thoughts.
If no object moves inside the mind, then feelings and thoughts cannot arise. This is because the story is created only when an object moves inside the mind, only after the story, feelings are created.
This is why the mind is always full of thoughts.
When the scenes in our mind stop, the thoughts automatically come to end. To think of it, thoughts are only possible when the mind creates an associated image or story. If the scene stops then the feelings and emotions tied to it also stop, at the same time the movement of the mind also stops. Initially, it feels great to think when a person is young, even negative and erotic thinking gives energy to the brain instead of disturbing it somewhere. However, as a person ages, mindless chatter of thoughts and emotions begins to take its toll on a person.
After an age, the capacity of the body and the brain naturally decreases and at the same time, the speed of thoughts becomes faster. Due to this many ailments and health issues may arise.
Note that emotions are created due to the movement of imagination. The ebb and flow of happiness and sorrow eventually give rise to physical and mental ailments. Emotions cannot be created if their movement is stopped. An immovable and static painting simply hanging on the wall does not move the mind. This is because the picture isn't moving. The mind stops for a while. Here, stopping means stopping all the characters in the story that run wild inside the mind. This is called pausing.
To achieve this state of pause is to halt the incessant chatter of the mind. This is achieved with the help of dhyana and meditation. In Hatha Yoga, instead of focussing on the outside world, a person is made to focus on certain points and chakras inside the body which actually act as the focal point inside the body. All these centres are also very beneficial for the health of the body.
In Hatha Yoga, by focusing the mind on these focal points, power is given to different parts of the body and brain. This concentration balances the hormones by generating energy in the key points inside the brain. Note that fluctuations in emotional waves are seen only when the hormonal secretions inside the brain increase and decrease. That is why the glands located inside the brain are tuned through concentration which gives strength to the brain and at the same time gives emotional relaxation for a few hours. And after that, the brain automatically starts removing the ailments located inside.
For example, many problems related to constipation and urination can be overcome by concentrating on Muladhara and Swadhisthana Chakra. Concentration on Manipura Chakra can solve issues tied to the digestive system, the kidney and the liver. Concentration on Anahata and Vishuddhi Chakras can get rid of many problems related to the heart, lungs and thyroid, while concentration on the Ajna chakra can get rid of many problems by making all the glands inside the brain healthy.
There are many common diseases that are not solved in any medicine without giving any side effects, then this yoga can be cured through concentration. Such ailments include constipation, flatulence, phlegm and acid bile, headache, hypertension, shortness of breath and asthma, hyper acidity, reflux, etc.
Remember, Hatha Yoga awakens power, not knowledge. Attempts are made to eliminate many ailments by increasing the strength by concentration but if the severity of the diseases is very high then it is advisable to practice only under the protection of an experienced guru.
After this, after increasing the power steadily, for spiritual advancement, the seeker must take the help of Gyana Yoga so that he can also remove the troubles of the inner being.
